Riyadh Season continues to deliver high-profile events, with its latest addition being Latino Night, a grand boxing spectacle set to take place on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Announced by Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, this event is part of his vision to bring world-class entertainment to Saudi Arabia. Hosted at “The Venue,” one of the newest attractions within Riyadh Season, Latino Night will bring together some of the finest Latino boxing talents, showcasing their skills on a global stage. This inaugural boxing event is a collaboration between Golden Boy Promotions, led by boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya, and BOXXER, promising a night of intense fights and world-class competition.

The headline fight of the evening features WBA Cruiserweight World Champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez, a Mexican fighter with 46 victories to his name, squaring off against the WBO Cruiserweight World Champion, Chris Billam-Smith of the United Kingdom. This bout will determine the undisputed champion in the cruiserweight division, a title that both fighters have pursued with relentless determination. Ramirez, who made history as the first Mexican to claim world championships in both the Super Middleweight and Cruiserweight categories, is now set on adding another accolade to his storied career. On the other hand, Billam-Smith, known for his technical prowess, is entering this fight on the back of three successful title defenses, making this a highly anticipated clash of champions.

Beyond the main event, the Latino Night card is packed with exciting matchups. Former U.S. Olympian and Unified Champion Jose Ramirez will face the undefeated Arnold Barboza Jr. in a 12-round WBO Super Lightweight World Title eliminator. Ramirez, known for his powerful strikes, will be tested by Barboza’s unbeaten record and tactical approach to the sport.

In another thrilling matchup, William “El Camarón” Zepeda from Mexico will go toe-to-toe with former IBF World Champion Tevin “2X” Farmer in a 10-round lightweight fight. Zepeda’s impressive knockout ratio of 27 out of 31 victories positions him as a formidable opponent, while Farmer’s resilience and experience promise to make this bout an engaging contest.

The night will also feature a battle for the WBA Super Lightweight title, with Mexican fighter Oscar “La Migrana” Duarte taking on Kenneth “Bossman” Sims Jr. from the U.S. in a 12-round eliminator bout. Both fighters are eager to cement their place in the upper echelons of the sport, adding to the excitement surrounding this match.

In keeping with Riyadh Season’s commitment to delivering world-class entertainment, Latino Night will be broadcast globally for free, ensuring that boxing fans everywhere can enjoy the event. With a card full of top-tier fights, this promises to be one of the most electrifying boxing events in recent memory, showcasing the finest Latino talent alongside international champions.
