ar- العربية The Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, has unveiled plans for the fifth edition of Riyadh Season, set to kick off on October 12, 2024. This year’s festival is anticipated to be the most thrilling and exciting yet.
The events and attractions will take place across a massive 7.2 million square meters, including 14 entertainment zones, 11 world championships, and 10 festivals and exhibitions.
So far, the event highlights include the participation of 2,100 companies, most of which are local businesses. Here are some of the major attractions for this year’s Riyadh Season:
– The Venue Zone: A new area covering 9,245 square meters, accommodating 8,000 people, and hosting exclusive events.
– The Boulevard Runway: In partnership with Saudi Airlines, this zone aims to creatively repurpose old aircraft models. It will cover 140,000 square meters and accommodate 9,000 people.
– Fashion Event: A fashion event in collaboration with renowned Lebanese designer Elie Saab.
– Joy Awards: The Joy Awards will return, but on a much larger scale, doubling the number of categories from last year.
– Riyadh Season Tennis Cup: Recognized as one of the premier events, the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup will be a major attraction.
– Dinosaur Models: Featuring the world’s largest dinosaur models located in Boulevard City. The Winter Garden will cover 500,000 square meters, accommodating 23,000 visitors, and will feature 15 diverse stores.
– Zoo: A free attraction this year, the zoo will cover 116,000 square meters and accommodate 12,000 visitors. It will focus on showcasing the cultures of nine countries through various shows, theaters, and activities.
– Al Awaleen Souq: This market will offer an immersive journey into the identities, traditional foods, and cultures of Saudi regions.
The GEA is selling tickets exclusively through the WeBook application in an effort to eliminate fake tickets and combat black market sales.
Turki Al-Sheikh emphasized the importance of purchasing tickets only through the official WeBook app.
