For those unfamiliar, slap fighting is exactly as it sounds: two competitors take turns slapping each other with open hands, aiming to knock their opponent out. The event follows strict rules, with the first strike being determined by a coin toss, as going first can give a significant advantage due to the high chance of a knockout in the early rounds. Fights usually last between three and five rounds, with participants standing still and keeping their hands behind their backs while receiving slaps. Only open-handed strikes are allowed, and there is no stepping or pivoting during the attack. The heel of the slapping hand must not extend beyond the opponent’s chin.
Power Slap follows the same weight classes as MMA, with divisions for men including welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, heavyweight, and super heavyweight. Currently, women compete in the featherweight division, though more categories may be introduced in the future.
Riyadh’s slap fighting scene is set to make waves, and Power Slap is sure to deliver a thrilling, one-of-a-kind experience. Don’t miss the chance to witness this electrifying event as part of Riyadh Season’s ever-expanding lineup of global entertainment. Get your tickets early, and brace yourself for an unforgettable display of raw competition.
